|
|
Our Kin, the 'Unforgiven' has been invited to join the Kin 'Legacy' for regular scheduled Rift Raids. They will need 4 more people that can go on regular Basis.
Here is the info i got so far, more details coming soon:
Qora,
Loads of information below. Please let me know if you have four folks that want to join us and what Friday they can start (if 8:30 pm EST works). We can start as early as this Friday but I will need to know ASAP if I am to put together a run this week.
Here is a bit of Rift information for you to pass along to your kin to see if there is any interest in joining our runs. We are one of two groups from Legacy that runs the Rift on a regular basis. Our group was called the "Early Birds" as we are mostly east coast folks and started our runs at 8:30 pm EST. That time has worked out for most of us as it is not too late and quite a few of us have kids (my wife plays with me as Tosca/Linnnea) and we have two young kids to get to bed We have been running the rift since last October so are very well experianced with the fights. At this point, four of our regulars are off playing Conan waiting for Moria to come out so we have had to cancel several runs as a result. I spoke to Lyson who recommended that I speak to you about fielding a few folks to run with us on a regular basis.
I would propose your kin fill 4 of the 12 spots, with someone from your kin coordinating with me a few days in advance of each week so I can finalize the roster. We use a loot ladder (more about that below) that basically takes away any randomness from loot distribution and makes loot rewards very predictable. Your folks would "roll" onto the existing ladders during their first run and take four positions at the bottom based on that initial roll. After that, your folks will progress on the ladders as anyone else would - typically getting a new Rift gem/armor every 2 runs. There are always 2 boot gem drops and everyone in the EB group now has theirs so 2 of your folks will get gems the first run.
We maintain a total of 3 ladders: Bosses 1-7 Gem/Armor, Bosses 1-7 Teal random drops, and Balrog Gem/Shoulder Armor. Any teal or gem/weapon drops during Balrog fight are handled with a /random 100 with a one teal/weapon rule for that night. I keep track of who has won a weapon gem and only those who still do not have one /randoms for it. Once everyone has the first weapon gem, then everyone rolls again as you can either have two dual-wield or one weapon/shield combination from that gem (total of 8 unique gem drops for the entire rift). There is also one teal that we pay attention to, the Balrog's chain. This is a one time pickup per person and is very important that the person who wins the drop is around for the next Balrog run. This loot system keeps the Rift Armor distribution on a equitable/fair basis.
1. We run the Rift over two nights, Friday and Tuesday. On Friday night, we take on the first 7 bosses that drop 5 gems (Boots, Gloves, Leggings, Chest and Helm). We meet in front of the Prancing Pony prior to 8:30 pm EST then have our hunters port us to the rift. This run takes 4 hours if you are not familiar with it and down around 3 hours once you have run it a few times.
2. The class composition is somewhat important, with a few key classes that are a must including: 2 Guardians, 2 Mezzers (one LM a must), 2/3 Mistrels, and the rest DPS. These minimum classes prevent multiple wipes that can occur but does allow mixing up the remainder of the group. High DPS is a huge advantage with several of the fights so could not go with an imbalance of "squishy" folks and succeed particularly with the various Boss fights.
3. After the Friday night run, I will update the two ladders and send them to you via email to post on your kin site.
4. After a few runs under your belt, and some rift gear, we would bring your folks into the Balrog fight. This one is tough if you do not have 4/5 Rift armor sets, particularly the gloves with their shadow mitigation effects. The Balrog can do over 1500 points of damage in an AOE to the entire group and that coupled with the -10 dread he has means anyone under 3K of morale will most likely perish in a single shot. As a side note, the higher everyones morale is for the Bal fight the better. Max traits are also very helpful. The good news is that is NOT the case with bosses 1-7 so this gives your team ample time to prep for Balrog fight.
All of the EBs are a really friendly group, no egos to worry about and no "hard core" mentality. We are however very motivated to get geared up for Moria so are a bit "driven" to succeed, which after running the Rift for this long anyone would conclude .
Let me know what you think and if this Friday is too early. If it is, no worries we will shoot for the following Friday to start the Alliance off with.

Everyone needs to be level 50 as the mobs are 53/54 elites and under 50 will miss/get resisted. for those of you that have their Lv 50's on other kins and are here with Alts, that's fine. We just want to get good folks that like to adventure together. If we can't fill the 4 vacant slots,we can see where we go from there.
Please post any of your characters that are willing to go at Fridays 8:30pm EST ANY lv 50 you have, as well as Class
